Politics : Local Government Chairmen In Imo State Take Oath Of Office



Imo state local government election, which was fixed on the 21ST of September 2024, was turned to a bloody shadow tears of dreams in day light robbery operation, which was a total abysmal unprofessional system of conducting elections in Nigeria, by a well known electoral umpire like Imo state independent electoral commission (ISIEC). 

Alot of solid challenges were observed in the election ranging from delay in late arrival of electoral materials at the polling units, no result sheets, no stamp pads, no security agencies around the polling units, adhoc electoral staffs were seen in class rooms thumb printing the ballot papers with APC agents. 

ISIEC declared the All Progressive Congress (APC) victorious in the twenty seven local government area in Imo state and issued a certificate of return, as well pronounced a free and fair election, which was a binding thumb up pat on the back given by the Imo state house of assembly and the executive arm of government. 

On Sunday 29TH of September 2024, at the EXCO chambers in Imo state government house, governor Hope Uzodinma officially sworn in the twenty seven local government chairmen and charge them to work diligently in synergy with the board of internal revenue and every chairman must be residential in his community.
