The Amamow Owerri n'ichi-ise autonomous community in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area in Imo State, conducted her youth election held on the 19th of November 2017 at Samuel Njemanze Primary School located at Ekeonunwa market square. The Amawom youth are made of six kindred that make up  Amawom autonomous community they are Umu-Ekeonunwa, Umu-Njemanze,Umu-Eruperenwa, Umu-Ogugba na eke, Umu-Okoro and Umu-Okorie. As early as 7.00 AM the youths filed up in their large number for accreditation and to cast their votes which will be decided with their votes who will be their leaders in the next two years under the watchful supervision of the electoral committee Chairman Prince Okechukwu Njemanze and heavily beefed up uniform military personnel to ensure that peace is maintained during the election and the environment was highly tensed especially for the post of chairman which three strong candidates are contesting for the position the include Ek webelam John Excel, Nnwer
