Chief Martin Agbaso the formal All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Imo state chairman and formal Governorship aspirant under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have been unveiled by President Muhammadu Buhari as a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) at Dan-Ayiam stadium in Owerri during the presidential rally held in Imo state.  Although he fell out with the Imo state Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha over the impeachment contract saga involving the Lebanese contractor Jpros and former Deputy Governor of Imo state Jude Agbaso which was carried out by the Imo state House of Assembly.  But Jude Agbaso obtained court injunction restraining Imo state law markers from impeaching him due to he was not properly served for the invitation. It was pasted on the official doors of the deputy Governor as the Governor charged him to face his problems and leave him alone but recently we was set free by the economic financial crime commission.

Ugwumba Uche Nwosu Imo state Governorship candidate under Action Alliance (AA) while on the podium making his declaration speech at Dan-Anyaim stadium in Owerri, with other political contestants who were in they same party with him.  An unwarranted shouting erupted from the crowd, they were holding sticks and other dangerous weapons in the arena also in their large number. But they were identified as Ohaji Egbema Local Government boys brought by Kingsely Uju looking very haggled and rough.   The voice gave a warning signal to everyone standing close saying "clear road, clear road who say men no dey men, men dey oooooo".  As people ran to safe for their lives and no longer concentrating to Uche Nwosu's speech three persons were beating up by the boys and because of the high level of intimidation, it took combined effort of police officers to put the situation under control.

All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) vice presidential candidate Chief Jerry Chukwueke while addressing APGA state executives and ward leaders at the residence of Owerri Senatorial candidate Mike Nwachukwu at Ulakwo in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo state.  Jerry said if the Governorship candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC) Senator Hope Uzodinma happens to win the 2019 Governorship election the equity of governance in Imo state is over.  Although he acknowledged that senator hope uzodinma is his friend but now  political rivals and called on south east states to support as well vote the presidential candidature of John Agbor / Chief Jerry Chukwueke come 16 February 2019 under APGA and other candidates contesting in the party platform for a better Nigeria.

 Imo state Governor his Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha yesterday invited all primary and secondary students schools in Owerri to the Hero's square arena in new Owerri and arrived at the venue exactly 5.00 PM in the evening.  Owelle revealed reasons for the invitation teachers and students announced to them that an estimated budget of 7.5 billion Naira will be used to renovate primary and secondary schools in Imo state and promise to give Imo state students free school bags with their usual 500 Naira bursary fee which will be given to them through the heads of various schools.
