An accident occurred at Port Harcourt road in Imo state, 7 persons confirmed dead

A road accident occurred in the early hours of 4th January 2019 morning at exactly 7.00pm, involving  seven persons in a sienna, who were confirmed dead and remaining two person are seen in a state of unconsciousness before the arrival of road safety officers who conveyed them to hospital and deposited the dead in the mortuary. The cause of the accident was due to a break failure which involved the punctures of the four tires and was on a top high speed.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
