7.5 billion Naira budget for renovation of primary and secondary schools in Imo - Rochas





 Imo state Governor his Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha yesterday invited all primary and secondary students schools in Owerri to the Hero's square arena in new Owerri and arrived at the venue exactly 5.00 PM in the evening. 

Owelle revealed reasons for the invitation teachers and students announced to them that an estimated budget of 7.5 billion Naira will be used to renovate primary and secondary schools in Imo state and promise to give Imo state students free school bags with their usual 500 Naira bursary fee which will be given to them through the heads of various schools.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
