A JSS 2 student fell down and died on the spot, from a two storey building hostel of Father Cloonan memorial secondary school located at Emekuku Owerri North Local Government Area in Imo state. According to the report received it happened around 6.00 AM in the morning, while students were taking their breakfast in the cafeteria and preparing to go to school, but the hostel guards never knew what was going on and it is believe that every student have left the hostel until 7.00 AM when he was seen and rushed to the hospital but according to the medical report it showed that he landed with his head and no other part of his body sustained injury but police have arrested the principal of the school for interrogation as well investigate to know if it was an attempted suicide or he was murdered.  But the details of the student was not revealed.

Youths that turned out for the registration of their Independent National Electoral Commission permanent voters card at Owerri Municipal Local Government council secretariat in Imo state, have expressed their displeasure over the slow administrative method in the  PVC registration despite the multitude waiting to register.  It is observed that only two laptop computers are used for the registration at the end of the day only very few number of electorates were able to register as other INEC staffs relax and discuss in there offices without finding solution to ease the time wasted by the INEC registration officers.  So many people are still asking questions and raising their eyebrows of surprise if it is only two laptop computers that are provided for the INEC voters card registration, because it is possible that some laptops had been hoarded for their personal use in their various homes, but the masses continue to suffer under the harsh weather especially the elderly person
