Solomon Anukam  who joined executives of the peoples democratic party for the PVC sensitization tour in Owerri Municipal organized at Ugwu Ekwema. 

While the guests were been introduced Solomon and his campign supporters organization started dancing unorganized in the process he threw one hundred Naira bills bundles into the thin air as so many of the mothers, youths were busy scrambling for the money and it took the intervention of the Owerri Municipal PDP party chairman Engineer.(Sir.) Okechukwu Opara almost 50 mins before the situation was brought under control.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
