The Imo State Governor His Excellency Owelle Rochas have not paid the Imo Civil Guard Officers for the past three months and according to the report received the Governor ordered that their salaries should be suspended until further notice and the officers plead with the Governor to pay them to enable them take care of their families.    

The Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADDIEC) has fixed December 30, 2017 for the conduct of Local Government Election across the 23 local councils in the state.  Saratu Dikko,chairman of the Commission made the announcement on Friday, said political parties can now conduct their primaries to enable them to commence their campaigns.

The Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Usman, has declared support for the Peace Corps bill passed by the National Assembly. The bill, which seeks to turn the Peace Corps, a non-government organisation, into a government paramilitary agency, has elicited mixed reactions from Nigerians. Proponents see it as an avenue to create jobs for thousands of youth while critics describe as a duplication of functions already being performed by existing agencies and creation of another bureaucracy at a time the country is finding it difficult to pay workers’ salaries. The bill was opposed by existing military and security institutions in Nigeria and the Peace Corps leader Dickson Akoh is currently being prosecuted for alleged fraud. It is barely two weeks when the transformer located along Nwa Aturu Ocha Street in Ikenegbu  Housing Estate in Owerri was vandalized and according to report the mercury was removed they occupants of the estate are expected to pay the sum of five thousand Naira for the replacement of  the mercury and other things removed from the transformer because the cannot wait for the EEDC slow management.

When doctors performed surgery on a man to remove what they suspected to be a bronchogenic carcinoma, they instead found a toy traffic cone he had swallowed in 1974.   The Playmobil toy cone had gone undetected in the man's right lung for 40 years and it was found almost three years ago by Dr. Mohammed Munavvar at the Royal Preston Hospital in the UK.  The male patient, now 50 years old, reported that throughout his childhood, he regularly played with, cone toy and swallowed Playmobil toy pieces. His airway was able to remodel to adapt to the presence of this foreign body, which is why the symptoms did not show until he was gradually getting old. .

22 people have been killed and over 35 seriously injured in a stampede that broke out at a narrow foot over bridge near a local train station in Mumbai after heavy rain this morning.  The incident took place around 10.30 am during rush hour near a ticket window between Parel and Elphinstone stations.  Many events coincided to produce a tragedy that many say could have been avoided, had successive governments heeded warnings. The Executive Governor of Imo State His Excellency Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha has officially announced at Hero's Square Arena in Owerri that the death of Master Somotochukwu Ibeanusi was mysterious and he died at Mbaise Road which is one Kilometer away from the Owerri shopping plaza at Douglas Road.  So Imo State Government does not have hand in his death of Master Somotochukwu Ibeanusi.  Imo State Government led by His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha has announced that Douglas Road in Owerri would be renamed as Somotochukwu Avenue or Road to honour his death and he is a hero. But nobody have given reasons behind the death of the young 10 Years old Master Somotochukwu Ibeanusi despite the police pathologist brought to Imo state and the young boy has been buried at Umu- Nwafor in Nnewi Local Government Area of Anambra State. 

Today at exactly 12 Noon at Mann Street in Owerri, people were standing looking at a young girl who was shouting that she has eating his fathers intestine and new born babies intestine so no human being born on earth can challenge her then said she is from Isi-Ala Ngwa in Abia state.  It was discovered that this young girl is mentally ill and people were saying that possibly she must have been sacrificed by the Yahoo plus boys for money, soon if care is not taking she will get pregnant by young men due to her illness.  May God help us .

    On August 24, 2017 Appeal Court has earlier dismissed an appeal filed by Senator George Sekibo challenging the judgment of the Rivers State National Election Tribunal which removed him as Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District and it lacked merit as Sekibo did not show facts why the decision of the lower court should be set aside. A truck loaded with cement has killed three persons and injured five in the Kogi State capital Lokoja .  According to an eye witness report confirmed that a female student of Kogi State Polytechnic was involved in the accident and the accident was caused by a brake failure the truck lost control and rammed into a tipper and tricycle, causing gridlock along the NATACO junction in  the Lokoja, Abuja Express road.
