Buhari Observes Special Jumat Prayers For Independence Celebrations

Chief Imam, Abdulwahid Abubakar offered Jumat prayers in commemoration of the 57th Independence Celebration of Nigeria, at the presidential Villa mosque.
His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari accompanied by the former vice president Nnamdi Sambo, Senate President, Bukola Saraki , Chiefs of Army Staff, Air Staff, the Inspector General of Police and some cabinet members.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
