Rochas no Law states

Professor of Law Mr.Dike Francis (SAN) have commiserate with indigenes of Owerri N'ichi -ise over demolition of their historical market Eke-Ukwu Owerri  and as their other brothers gathered at Ugwu Ekwema to consult their ancestral father Ekwem to intervene for them, then went further challenged the Imo state Governor His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha that no law in Nigeria states that markets should be sited five miles away from the Imo state Government house or town, then concluded that the Governor does not respect the rule of law since their is a court injunction prohibiting Imo state Government from demolishing the Eke-Ukwu Owerri market.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
