Six overall best students receives cash award from Imo state Deputy Governor Vacation lesson - Madumere

The Imo state Deputy Governor His Excellency Prince Ezeakonobi Madumere vacation lesson became to an end today in grand style as six best over-all students received cash award for their outstanding performance. They are two boys and four girls their names are Metu Remaliah.C - Government Secondary School Owerri, Anaele Esther -Girls Secondary School Ikenegbu, Metu Aretas- Imo Girls College Owerri, Njoku Vera - Christ the King Anglican Academy, Remigius Uchechukwu- Federal Government Girls College Owerri, Amadi Chinemerem - Government Secondary School Owerri.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
