IMSU Transformer Vandalizer Caught On Sunday In Owerri



On the 23rd of August 2017, Imo state University Hostel Electricity transformer along Ohaozara Street in Aladinma Housing Estate  was vandalized and which the Imo state University Vice Chancellor Prof. Adaobi Obasi was yet to react to action which took place in the NDDC built hostel under the administration of Former Governor of Imo state Chief.Dr. Ikedi Ohakim. 
According to an eye witness account said two young men at exactly 2.00 PM on the 24th of September 2017  last sunday which is one month the sad event took place. 
They came to the premises of Imo State University hostel to finish up the job which the started and never knew that a security man was on guard and the man alerted other young men in Aladinma Housing Estate Community who gave this two young transformer vandals a hot chase and the one that was caught immediately taking to Imo state University Campus to inform the management as well the chief security officer about the situation in Imo state University NDDC built hostel before handing over to police and right now the investigation is on to get other culprits if the EEDC staffs are part of the perpetrators and the buyers of this transformer parts.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
