Cop Killers Paraded in Benue state - Bashir Makama


The Benue State Police Command has paraded four suspects in connection with an attack on a Police Station in Ado Local Government Area of the state.Which took place the 2nd of October 2016 and three service rifles were carted away during the attack . According to the Benue state commissioner of police Mr Bashir Makama, who paraded the suspects, vowed to track other criminals who specialize in attacking police personnel and this is coming almost one year, after two policemen were killed and one critically injured, then eight others who were arrested in connection with armed robbery and kidnapping in Benue State were also paraded today.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
