Late.Mrs Elizabeth Akanne Ezurike laid to rest


The body of late Mrs.Elizabeth Akanne Ezurike was

 laid to rest on 2nd of March, 2018 at late Mr.George Ezurike's compound in Umuololo Ubowalla Emekuku in Owerri North Local Government Area Imo state.   

The funeral mass was held at St.Peter's catholic church ubowalla Emekuku, and was con-celebrated by two priests Rev.Fr.Eustace Nwanekwu and Rev.Fr.Frank Ogbonna. 

In the homily, Rev.Fr.Frank Ogbonna extolled the virtues of late Mrs.Elizabeth Akanne Ezurike especially her exemplary motherly role given to her children in the mixed of all challenges through her agricultural farming occupation and petite trading as well sold her wheel barrow to ensure the survival of her children and reminded the family members to take solace in God because she was baptized in Christ and well resurrect with Christ. 

To lay the foundational of virtues of late Mrs.Elizabeth Ezurike her nine children, wives, in-laws, and grand children, great grand children, relations and members of Ezurike's family donated a  sculptural statue of Virgin Mary to St.Peter's catholic church to commiserate the death of their mother. 

Present at the occasion is former vice chancellor of FUTO, and Governorship aspirant under the peoples democratic party Imo state Hon.(prof).Jude Njoku, former regional bank manager and Director Mavis Suite Mr.Philip Ogazi, Fidelity bank plc staffs Lagos branch, Madonna University staffs, friends and politicians.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
