Rev.Monsignor.Alphonsus Aghaizu of Owerri catholic archdiocese 
oldest monsignor in the South-Eastern region of Nigeria marked the first lent stations of the cross with St.Paul's Owerri Catholic Parish laity. Which started on the 16th of February, 2018. 

Rev.Monsignor. Alphonsus Aghaizu was ordained as a priest in 1954 at Akuma in Oru East Local Government Area in Imo state.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
