APGA flag - off Governorship campaign at Dan Anyiam stadium in Imo state






The flag off campaign of All Progressive Grande Alliance (APGA) in Imo state witnessed large turn up of supporters from the 27 Local Government Area of imo state in the Dan-Anyiam stadium. 


As the national chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance Chief Victor Oye who was accompanied by his Vice chairman Engr.Uchenna Okogbuo  and the vice presidential candidate chief Jerry Chukwueke to the flag off event with other state executive as the Anambra state Governor his excellency Willie Obiano who is a board of trustee member was represented by his chief of staff Joe Asike.  


Chief Victor Oye handed over the APGA party flag to Imo state Governorship candidate Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume with his Deputy Governor Steve Nwoga as well the three senatorial candidates of which Mike Nwachukwu is Owerri Zone flag bearer, Senator Osita Bonaventure Izunaso Orlu Zone flag bearer, and Charles Oyirimba Okigwe zone flag bearer with the federal house of representative and state house of assembly candidates. 


According to the national chairman of APGA Chief Victor Oye said it is time we agree that Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume will take over the Government of Imo state from the present Imo state Governor his excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha come 29th May 2019 and will rejuvenate the economy of Imo state back to it's glorious days and let it be known to all of you that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is for the northern's, Labour Party (LP) is for the westerns and Igbo's political identity is the All Progressive Grande Alliance (APGA) which will salvage the suffering of the  Igbo tribe in Nigeria .     






 To God the glory for a day like this and history have been made because the days of suffering in Imo state is over there will be good qualitative free education and youths of Imo state will constitute 50% of my Government  there will be employment opportunities and basic empowerment for youths as well women reformation of agricultural sector then payment of salaries and pension, good housing scheme  and construction of good road net work so be determined to ensure that APGA produce the next Governor of Imo state then collect your permanent voter cards and do not sell your votes and vote for APGA God bless Nigeria.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
