Owerri Municipal Local Government Area, Adopt Imo State House Of Assembly Majority Leader

The Majority Leader of Imo State House of Assembly representing Owerri Municipal Council, Hon.Lugard Osuji was today adopted and accepted by the entire eleven INEC wards populace that make up Owerri Municipal Local Government Area in Imo State to  represent Owerri Municipal in the Imo State House of Assembly for the second time come 2019 . 
The Indigenes and non-indigenes in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area said the are in total solidarity support for the rescue mission Government of His Excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha the commander of free education, and the peoples Governor. 
Thanked Owelle for his infrastructural development urban renewal posterity legacy, and asked the Governor to show Imo State the Man come 2019 because Imo State cannot afford to go back to the twelve years failure of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) which is associated with corruption and Godfatherism.  
The event was held at Mann- Street primary school field present at the occasion was the Imo State House of Assembly Deputy speaker Hon.Ugonna Ozuruigbo, Imo State Chief of staff Hon.Uche Nwosu, and Wives of Honourable members.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
