Deadly auto crash occurred in Emekuku, as two persons were confirmed

 

A bloody accident that claimed the life of a commercial motorcyclist okada rider and a mother of four twins, occurred at Azara Owalla community in Emekuku, Owerri North local government area, by Owerri-Umuahia express road. 

According to the report received by Drizzlersnews correspondent, through an eyewitness account, who said that the accident took place at exactly 5.00 PM, in the evening and the sad incident occurred on Thursday 30TH of June 2022, it was caused by a high top speed wrong over taking made by a private vehicle driver, while trying to over take a commercial caterpillar sand truck at Azara Owalla, but suddenly knocked down the commercial motor cyclist, with the passenger, who is the mother of the twins, through a face to face collision.  

Our correspondence further disclosed that the woman died instantly, before they could be rushed to the hospital, while the motor cyclist commercial rider,died on the 1st of July morning, while the hit and run private vehicle driver escaped to an unknown destination. 

Although it is speculated that the dead accident victims are from Ubowalla community and Emii community.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
