Monday Okpebholo Stood Victoriously Tall, In Edo State Governorship Election

 


Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) have announced the Edo state 2024 governorship election final results,from eighteen local government area's in the state, and ninety five percent of the results are uploaded, on the

IREV.    

According to the report presented by Edo state resident commissioner, professor Faruk Kuta who is presently the vice chancellor Federal University Of Technology Minna,satisfied that the All Progressive Congress candidate Monday Okpebholo, subdued his fellow political rivalry governorship candidates, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party ( LP) having pulled up a total of two hundred and ninety one thousand, six hundred and sixty seven (291,667) votes cast, while the PDP candidate have a total of two hundred and forty seven thousand,two hundred and seventy four (247,274) votes cast, while the LP candidate have a total of twenty two thousand, seven hundred and sixty three (22,763) votes cast and now elected, as the next governor of Edo state, to succeed governor Godwin Obaseki, but Kpebholo have not yet been given the certificate of return, nor taking the oath been sworn into office.
