Community News: Umuororonjo Youth Election Rose To A Boiling Point Of War.

Umuorooronjo Owerre nchi-ise autonomous community village youth general election, have changed to a civil power of war tussle, as some elders in the community were accused of sponsoring and lobbying for some candidates, in an attempt to hijack the youth election with

government connection, which was trash out by the Imo state high court judiciary in Owerri.

But an electoral committee was set up, for the conduct of the election, ranging from the registrations of candidates and screening of academic qualifications, registration of the electorates, as well as handling of the debates, conducting of security screening of candidates by the department of state secret security service and Nigerian police force with the signing of the peace accord.   

Although two political camps existing in umuorooronjo autonomous, they are  Divine mandate and umuorooronjo progressive party, as different groups took their  campaigns to the electorates, going along with the candidates from one kindred to another and telling them in details their political mandates, as the umuororonjo community youth general election was fixed on Saturday 21st of December at the umuororonjo youth town hall along tetlow road in Owerri municipal local government area in Imo state.

But according to the report received by the Drizzlersnews correspondent, who confirmed that the election started during the early hours of the morning and at exactly 9.00 AM, and one of the candidates discovered that there is an error on the ballot paper, one of the candidates who is contesting for the post of the public relation officer (PRO)  his picture was placed second on the ballot paper, for the  candidates contesting for the position of the umuorooronjo youth chairman, although there are two candidates, who are contesting for the post of the chairman Oparaugo and Anyanwu, while the post of the vice chairman is unopposed, because it is only one candidate that came out to contest for the position and there are other positions that are kindly or competitively contested by other candidates.

But at exactly 4,00 PM voting stopped, while sorting started and finished around 8.00 PM in the evening in the presence of the selected agents of various approved candidates by the committee with their neck tags, and the electoral committee started calling out the results with tight security police operatives that are called to ensure that there is peace in the arena, at  exactly 9.00 PM, when  the result for the post of the financial secretary is been called out by the electoral committee chairman , the generator was switched off and one of the supporters of the candidates from the crowd forcefully kicked the door hall open and disrupted the calling of the result by chased out the electoral committee member and torn all the whole results for the election fighting escalated between the supporters of all the two camps of divine mandate and umuorooronjo progressive party fighting as well a serious quarreling  is going on in umuorooronjo community and it might escalate to cultism fighting and police operatives deployed for the election ran away, but nobody knew if the newly  elected executives will take oath of office or the interim government of the executive youth of umuorooronjo will continue.
