Evans sue IGP over his detention
The Lagos based suspected kingpin
kidnapper arrested by Federal police Anti kidnapping unit team on the 10th
of June 2017, name Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike known as Evans has filed an
application against the Inspector
General of Police, the Nigerian Police Force, the Commissioner of Police Lagos state
and the Special Anti-Robbery Squad Lagos state Command at the federal
high
Court Lagos on Wednesday over alleged infringement of his human
fundamental rights in accordance to Section
35 and 36 of the Federal Republic of Nigerian constitution and Evans stated that he has been subjected to media trial
without court order and a three-month remand warrant was obtained from the
Federal High Court Abuja detaining the
suspected kidnapper Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike which was obtained on
the 22nd of June 2017 to allow the police carry out investigation in Nigeria, Ghana and South
Africa .
Mr. Stephen Onwuamadike, who acclaimed
not to have seen his son Chukwudumeje Onwuamadike according to
press interview filled an affidavit claimed that he, other
family members of Onwuamadike
and his solicitor have been denied access to his son who is still in police custody.
