Police parade 36 suspected criminals in Imo state -Imo CP Chris Ezike






The Imo State police  command has paraded 36 suspected criminals arrested  for allegedly been involved in  various crime  offenses  in Imo state,  ranging  from   kidnapping, murder, armed robbery, cultism, child trafficking and other related criminal activities  among the criminal suspects  paraded were three  females .



According to the report received by  Imo state commissioner of police  Chris Ezike while show casing the achievement made in April 2017  by  Imo state  police command in crime management in the capital city of  Imo state  Owerri and it’s closest communities that make up Imo state   said “ the arrest was made based on the information received from people which enabled police carryout an intelligent investigation in  tracking  down the syndicates in their various hideouts and 24 hours  security alert   will be kept on communities and hotels  concluded his report   that the second half of 2017 the Command expect increased business activities and human relations in Imo State, which comes with good, bad and ugly baggage  therefore we must continuously be on the red alert so that  less than 7%  of  criminal elements  in our midst are  avoidable ”.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
