Imo state Government seal up Jevinik Restaurant over tax evasion





The Imo state board of Internal revenue at exactly 12.00  PM on the 5th of April, 2018 sealed up the business premises of Jevinik restaurant in Owerri located at 19 Umez Eronini Street Ikenegbu over tax evasion worth one million five hundred thousand Naira (#1.500,000.00)  as some of their staffs were seen standing discussing during the business hours and customers were no longer allowed to enter inside.

According to the letter served through Imo state Judiciary court to management of Jevinik they are given 14 days ultimatum to clear their outstanding tax of one million five hundred thousand Naira.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
