Rochas bound and buried Imo state with grave cloth - Rev.Fr.Stephen Oduh


Rev.Fr.Stephen Oduh (OMD) an assistant priest with St.Lazarus Catholic Chaplaincy Nigerian Prisons Service Owerri,during the Tuesday adoration held on the 24th of April 2018, after the expository of the blessed sacrament and in his homily Fr.Stephen told the congregation that "Owelle Rochas Okorocha bound and buried Imo state with grave cloth and asked the Governor to loose Imo state and let them go,so that the light of resurrection of Jesus will touch him and not Urban renewal project which has caused so much pains as well suffering in the heart of millions that voted for him".

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
