Cows graze on farmers cash corps in Ubowalla Emekuku


Ubowalla Emekuku farmers association in Owerri North Local Government in Imo state is calling for the assistance of the Imo state Governor his excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha to find a lasting solution over Fulani herdsmen open cow grazing method in their farm lands because corps are been destroyed in their farms.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
