Holy Cross Parish Aladinma mark palm Sunday

Holy Cross Catholic parish Aladinma housing estate Owerri marked the kingship and triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, which is a well known religious practice in the world as palm Sunday and it was jointly observed by the Catholics and Anglican congregation to prepare for the holy week which Jesus had victory over death.

The Holy Cross Catholic parishioners were led by the parish priest Rev.Fr Mark Njoku with other priests and sisters, it started from Assumpta primary school in Avu street in Pre- Fab Aladinma extension housing estate in Owerri, where the palms were blessed and the congregation sang with joy shouting  " Hosanna to the man who came in the name of Lord " and it ended at Holy Cross Catholic Church premises in Mbano Street Aladinma.

The bible reading was taking from the book of Isaiah 50-4-7, Philippians 2-6-11, Corinthians 4-19 and in the sermon the priest said it is to fulfill the mission of his coming to the earth for our sake not for the righteous but the unrighteous, Jesus accepted that we might be saved and same multitude that were shouting Hosanna in the highest were the ones that freed Barabbas and crucified Jesus so called on people to watch and pray that the might not fall into temptation especially now that the 2019 election is coming close and the right candidates should be voted so encouraged them to go and get registered for their permanent voters card.
