Amawom youth election campaign to commence 4TH November 2019





Amawom youth election campaign have been slated to take place tomorrow 4TH of November 2019, in the six kindred's that made up Amawom autonomous community. 



The include Ekeonunwa, umu-Okorie, umu-Njemanze, umu-Okoro, umu-Erekperenwa, umu-Ogu-Oma na Neke. 

 It is an opportunity for the contestants to relate with their supporters by projecting their various aspiration for the community. But the two popular candidates for the chairmanship seat are Uzo Nda Uzo and Ekenna Austin Nwere who will emerge to take over from Stephen Olumba  Njemanze only your votes counts.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
