Ihedioha flag-off PEBEC programme at Concord hotel Owerri





Imo state governor Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha officially flagged-off the PEBEC programme knowns as presidential business enabling environment in collaboration with the federal government parastatals and agencies that regulates goods and services to create a sustainable strive able environment for business. 

Because the small and medium scale business contribute 50% of Nigeria's GDP and create jobs, which makes our country the best invest-able economy in the world through it's free trade zone.




The programme was held at the Sam-Mbakwe hall in concord hotel in Owerri, where all CEO's were able to deliberate on challenging issues which the face in a business environment.   





Some of the challenges range from poor road net work, security, double taxation, molestation from security agencies, poor or no loan scheme, high interest rate from banks. 

But the five south-east state governors were challenged to bring out modalities which can make inter-connecting state roads and rail ways possible. 
In the key note address delivered by Ihedioha he promise to make Imo state the best economy by 2025 in Nigeria, educational literacy in Nigeria Imo state is best in education and soon a sports festival will be held after the construction of the stadium in the 27 local government, then revival of the Independence day event which student's participated.

Imo is in the rebuild process and God's grace we shall deliver through your sacrifice and support, we have located and approved 300.8 kilometers road worth #13.5 billion.

We have good collaboration working relation with the state house of assembly so far six bills have been passed and three will soon be passed that will support business and investment. 

 Conclusion we will work with the industries at industrial layout in Owerri to ensure that their assess road is  reconstructed but it will cost #45 million which will require joint support with the industrialist and construction will commence soon. 

 President Buhari was presented by Dr.Jumoke Oduwale special adviser to the president on PEBEC who asked people to report any corrupt event through the web site provided www.reportgov.ng, your problem will be solved easily.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
