A terrible car accident occurred at Ugwu Okinta Nkwo stream in Emekuku

 

On the Ist of December 2021, at exactly 07.00 PM, in the  evening at ugwu Okinta Nkwo stream in Emekuku, along Owerri - umu-Ahia express road, it was that there is a slow traffic jam car movement at the stream hill, both vehicles going to Owerri and cars heading back to Mbaise and umu-Ahia.

According to the Drizzlersnews correspondent, who went there, observed that two SUV sports cars, were badly damaged at the drivers side and a big truck lorry was close to plunging into Okinta Nkwo dried stream in Emekuku, and three unconscious profusely bleeding persons, were brought out from their cars, through the assistance of people in a taxi, laid them on a tarred road, as they plead for assistance, from taxi transporters and private vehicle owners, to rush them, to Holy Rosary hospital or any private clinic in Emekuku, for treatment and the accident, was caused by wrong over taking, made by the SUV sports cars, as eye witnesses, blamed the drivers of the SUV sport cars and not the truck lorry driver.  

Please if your spouse and relation is not yet back rush down to the hospital and make more inquiry, from the hospital management.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
