Mad woman & her female baby spotted at Amawom

A mad woman and her little female new born baby was seen breast feeding her child in an open unhygienic environment, at No 25 Nwodo street by Ekeonunwa street in Amawom Owerri Nichi-ise autonomous community in Owerri Municipal Local Government Area in Imo state.

According to the report received the mad woman is from Oguta Local Government Area but was impregnated by a market toll collector in Ekeonunwa market known as Ofor but had denied been responsible for her pregnancy and have been receiving assistance from people for her babies up-keep. 

But people are calling on the Imo state Government or the welfare to render assistance for the child's welfare.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
