59TH Nigeria's Independence day celebration match past result 2019 in Imo state



The 2019 independence day celebration was held at the Hero's square in Owerri, where the executive governor of Imo state Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, who took the compliment's from the various security agencies which include : NDA, NPF, NSCDC, NCS, FRSC, schools, NLC and TUC in Imo state. 


Below is the schools that won the trophy in the match past and their various position.     

Primary school category 

St.Paul's International nursery & primary school- 1st 

Christ church primary school                                 - 2nd 

Amen Montessori nursery & primary school        - 3rd 





Secondary school category 

Holy Rosary International college                        -  Ist 

Owerri city school                                                  - 2nd 

Bethel seminary school Nekede                           -  3rd  

The winners of the October Ist independence match past was issued by Imo state speaker Chiji Collins, Deputy governor Hon. Irona Gerald and Imo state governornor Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked. But if their is any only those in it knew the secret and history as indigenous members of that community so many of them were scared to unfold the history and mystery of Owu cultural festival as a non indigenous member of that community i was not allowed to go into their mix for an interview and anything you have to appreciate them you drop it on the floor but it is believed according to christian doctrine that it is an Idol wors
