Total darkness shut off Ihedioha's project inspection at Owerri municipal council secretariat

Imo state governor his excellency Rt.Hon.Emeka Ihedioha, who embarked on local government project inspection tour, yesterday visited Njaba, Owerri-North and Owerri Municipal local government council secretariat.

Ihedioha who inspected the old stadium complex site project, asked if there was light in the Owerri Municipal council secretariat? which the Owerri Municipal Peoples Democratic Party chairman sir.Okechukwu Oprah gave the governor the full assurance and confidence that there was light in the council secretariat and he should go ahead in his project inspection to the secretariat. 


But getting to the secretariat, it was an outrageous total darkness and disappointment seen in the Owerri Municipal local government council secretariat, by 7.30 pm when the governor visited. 

Which brought shame on the faces of the awaited PDP supporters because no generator was hired and the EEDC power line have been reconnected by the Owerri Municipal interim chairman Hon.Ebere Chukwuemeka. 


Emeka Ihedioha was bridged by his security protocol not step out to inspect any project because it is really dangerous to his life. But Owerri Municipal PDP chairman Okechukwu Oprah pressurized to see that the governor step out to inspect the projects, he was pushed away from the governor's car by a security aide, which would have prompted a fight at the council secretariat and immediately the governor's convoy left the council secretariat . 

But the PDP supporters group blamed the interim management committee chairman Hon.Ebere Chukwuemeka who failed to hire a generator to light up the council secretariat for the inspection of the project.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
