A terrible fatal accident occurred at Okitta-Nkwo river hill in Emekuku

 

A fatal accident occurred this evening at exactly 6,30pm, close to Okitta-Nkwo river Hill at Emekuku town, in Owerri-North local government area in Imo state.

But Drizzlersnews reporter, who visited the scene of the accident, said a Mercedes truck lorry, carrying a full loaded tipper of red Laterite soil, knocked a Toyota Hiace bus with passengers in it into the bush from behind, while both of them were going to the Owerri capital axis, due to high speed of overtaking made by a private vehicle, which led to the accident.

No death causality was recorded in the accident as both drivers were seen discussing on a possible solution for the damaged vehicle as one of them raised an alarm to get the police involved and later came to a compromise before the Mercedes truck lorry was removed for safety, but the bus is yet to be removed for repairs as people were seen thanking God for his faithfulness and no life was lost.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
