Imo State Government Combat Street Trading





The Imo State Government combated against street trading in Owerri especially those selling in the demolished Eke Ukwu Owerri Market , Ama - Awusa, Old Stadium Lane and other streets in Owerri warning them to go to the designated Government approved markets and sell their goods. 
Security personnel's on guard were shooting guns to scare people away as their selling tables with goods were destroyed so many ceased. 
The team was led by the Commissioner for Safety  Prince (Hon) Chidi Nwaturuocha and other executives with the Nigerian Security & Civil Defense Corps, Imo Security Network and Imo Civil Guard Corps.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
