3rd February Umu-Ororonjo Youth Election

Umu-Ororonjo youth general election will take place  tomorrow on the 3rd of February 2018 at Oha Owerri hall at Tetlow road in Owerri Municipal Local Government area in Imo State. 

Mr.Kelechi Amadi who is the electoral committee chairman said the registration of voters started on the 7th of January 2018 and ended on the 14th of January 2018.
To purchase the chairmanship form it cost the sum of  forty thousand naira.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
