80 years old man fell down from Emekuku town hall



Mr. Anthony Onuobi who is eight years old from Umuakuru Emekuku  in Owerri North local Government area in Imo state, fell down
from an uncompleted one storey building of Emekuku town hall on the 11th of February, 2018 at exactly 6.45 pm and according to an eye witness who spoke in anonymity said  "he sustained injury on his skull and was rushed immediately to Holy Rosary hospital Emekuku but it was not a suicide act he went to the uncompleted town hall building to pick bamboo sticks and planks which he wanted to use to cook his food that evening in the process of taking it his leg slipped off because of the rain shower that evening and he was hurriedly rushed to the hospital ".

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
