Valentine armed robbers arrested at Erekwerenwa street in Owerri municipal by 2.00pm during operation


While people were busy visiting charity homes,prisons and other entertaining places with their loved ones in Owerri to re-engage their deeper sense of unity in love,
police foiled the operation and arrested two suspected armed robbers at Erekwerenwa street in Owerri municipal local government area of Imo state by 2.00 pm.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
