Insecurity: Orji divisional police station, set ablaze by hoodlums,


 Orji divisional police, at Hadel junction in Owerri-North local government area, in Imo state, have been set-ablaze, for the second time, by hoodlums.     

Although the divisional police station, was initially attacked, on the 21st of October, 2020, before the damaged building roof, was reconstructed, after the myth staged protest of end sars, led by the youths of Nigeria, at their various states.   

But according to the report received by Drizzlersnews, from our correspondent in the community, who said, that a group of unidentified young men, dressed in black jeans and polo, stormed at the Orji divisional police station, at exactly 1.45 pm, and started shooting sporadically, which scared people away, as well the police officers, working in the division, were forced out of there office, before the joint military task-force, could arrive at the scene.    

He went further in details, to confirm that a woman, who was selling at Nkwo-Orji market, was hit by a stray bullet, as she bled and died on her pool of blood, although it was speculated that a young man was also killed, during the operation, but he could not ascertain the death of the  man. 

But during the visit to the scene, on the 25TH of May, 2021, that evening, so many shops were totally closed and have fled to their various houses, to stay with their families.  Although culprits of behind the setting the police station on fire, have been arrested according to the Imo state Nigerian police force public relation officer SP Bala Elkana
