Security: Armed robbers attacked Amby supermarket, at Tetlow road in Owerri
No police personnel or other security agencies, are seen on the roads or streets, on patrol, even the newly established joint task force known as Ebubeagu, expect few military men, that are seen at the entrance of the express roads into Imo state from another state, but the government house roundabout is still totally blocked and out of bound for now, until the insecurity situation is brought back to normalcy, and various families are now putting their trust in God, as well other security measures like keep their dogs to protect them.
But the hoodlums, are now taking advantage of the situation on ground, to attack business premises, family residential buildings, market places and hotels, at night or during the day, and rob people their hard earned money or their any other personal belong.
According to the report, received by the Drizzlersnews, from an anonymous reporter, who said that Tuesday 11TH of May, was an eye opener for people in Owerri, because between 7 or 8 pm, three young armed boys with their guns, were seen with motor cycle, blocking the entrance of Amby supermarket, at Tetlow road in Owerri and surrendered all the staffs, as well their customers and robbed them off their total sold cash for day, as no security personnel or Amawom vigilante member, was on ground to challenge the armed robbers to a gun battle and on Monday morning 10TH of May, by 10am, another shoot out occurred at New market, and according to the report the received, they were suspected camouflaged uniform bandits, who forced the operation of the market to shutdown with their customers, who came to patronize, so many people in that area, were seen with various degree of injuries on their bodies, yet the governor of Imo state Hope Uzodinma, have given his one hundred assurance, that protection of lives and properties is his priority, yet none have been implemented since the un-restiveness started, although the South-East governors held a joint security meeting.
