Politics; Politicians are protecting their selfish interest - AJV Obinna

 

Owerri catholic archbishop his grace AJV Obinna, during his last pastoral visitation at saint Joseph catholic  chaplaincy Imo state university, on the 25TH of April, 2021, where he conducted the confirmation ceremony of about one hundred and five candidates.

From his gospel preaching, which is tagged as good sheperd Sunday,  AJV warned the staffs and students of IMSU, that with the recent attacks and kidnapping going on in Nigeria, caused by terrorists and bandits, our country will be brought back to the state of anarchy, because our government have no solution to combat the persistent killings of it's citizens, as well burning of government security facilities and all these are caused by corruption, poor health facilities, high unemployment rate,none payment of salaries and pensions, which the government have remained adamant to listen to the plights of people, rather politicians are busy criticizing themselves and protecting their selfish interest with their hungry sycophants, for the next up coming election and appointments. 

But appealed to parents to know what their children are doing, especially with their cell phones and asked the  government to brace up the security system.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Emeka asked their fans to keep supporting them and the should expect more new movies from them soon Nkotonko reloaded will be released. but the issue of Nkotonko been involved in rituals killings or armed robbery which was seen on the social media they are all false information to tarnish the personality and Image of the actor in the society.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
