Eze Ejeshi Obi receive a prestigious merit award

 

The traditional ruler of Emekuku ancient kingdom, his royal highness Eze Ejeshi Obi, was given a merit award at holy cross catholic parish Aladinma, during the 10.00 am mass yesterday to mark the feast of the parish 

He was honored as the pillar of holy cross parish, for his contributions in service to humanity and the church, as his friends, family members and others relations, showered the award with financial support.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
