Resident of commissioner for security affairs, set ablaze in Sokoto

 

The residence of commissioner for career and security affairs in Sokoto state, Colonel Garba Moyi, which is located at Isa local government area, was set ablaze, by a moth crowd in a mob action. 

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews correspondent, who confirmed that the building was burnt down on Tuesday and it was a peaceful protest, organized by a group of youths and pleading with government to find a lasting solution on security, which was hijacked by miscreants and stormed the building of the commissioner and destroyed his house, as well his cars, then the youths moved to the resident of the district head and Sarkin Gobir of Isa Nasiru Ahmed and vandalized his house and other items in his house.




Although the commissioner of police in Sokoto state, Kamaludeen Okunola issued an authoritative order for proper investigation into the case and some arrest have been made.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
