Pentecostal churches donate generously than Catholic churches - Rev.Fr.Vincent Ononiwu




A resident catholic priest at Holy Trinity Catholic parish at world bank housing estate under Owerri archdioceses reverend father Vincent Ononiwu last Sunday during his sermon lambast catholic congregation over given of poor support to the church despite the miraculous favor received from God with their great massive population which cannot be compared to any other religious domination in the world.   

But in showing appreciation for what God has done for them so many catholic congregation members during offering procession joyful dance in praises to God with #20, #10, #5 note which is not ascribed to Pentecostal churches which every offering must be raised up for prayers before the offering are given and according to the priest who made reference to a reading from the book of first kings 17vs10 advised catholic faithfuls to be more committed in God.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
