Red house won the 2018 Emekuku comprehensive secondary school inter-house sports









  Red house won the 2018 annual inter house sports event of comprehensive secondary school Emekuku in Owerri-North local government area of Imo state with 13 gold medals, 8 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals. While yellow house was in the 2nd position and white house got the 3rd position in the table ranking respectively.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
