APC, PDP battle for strong holds in Amawom youth election

 


Amawom youth election, which will take place on Sunday 14TH of November 2021, have changed to a political power tussle and consultations, between the All Progressive Congress (APC) and People's Democratic Party (PDP), as they two parties push to build a strong bond alliance, with the candidates for the youth election, to get the required structural community political support in the 2023 general election.  

According to the report received by the Drizzlersnews correspondent, who said that the present Imo state APC chairman Macdonald Ebere and the Owerri Municipal transition chairman Ambrose Nkwodimma, are openly asking the candidates that will contest in  Amawom youth general election, that before the can get their support to be voted by their supporters, that they are required to show their APC party cards, otherwise no vote will be given to them and the Owerri Municipal house of assembly representative honorable Solomon.C. Anukam, who is the leader of PDP in his constituency, is fighting very hard to give his support two ways and intelligently, it is speculated that he is given his support to one of the chairmanship contestant Fidelis Nkem Emenyeonu, while another PDP leader, in Owerri nchi ise autonomous community Leonard Osuji aka Ebuebe Agu of Owerri, was seen last night following  Anthony Obioyo Oparaku campaign train and talking to their supporters as well dishing out his manifesto to them and the reason why he should be voted for in the youth general election. 


Ebuebe Agu who was one time former youth chairman of Amawom youth organization, have been accused of building a strong kabal among theyouths, that will be loyal to him, with a strong interest, to get an executive position in the organization and so many of his political opponents are opposing it, trying to break the God fatherism bond in their community.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
