Six recalled Imo lawmakers, silenced speaker Paul Emeziem

 

Imo state house of assembly speaker, honorable Paul Emeziem, from Onuimo local government area, have been pushed out, from performing his duties in the legislative chamber, as the speaker and still integer member of the state assembly. 

Although a rigorous lobbied secret sponsored motion, by the six recalled suspended lawmakers, with a letter read on the floor of the house, during the plenary session of the assembly, which was signed by nineteen members out of twenty seven lawmakers and it was supported with a voice vote in the hallow chamber. 

Part of the allegations levied against the speaker Paul Emeziem, that led to his impeachment are gross misconduct, forgery, abuse and high handedness. 

But the present elected speaker of Imo state house of assembly is Kennedy Ibe, representing Obowo local government area,while the impeached deputy speaker Amara Iwuanyanwu, was reinstated back, as to the as the deputy speaker.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
