Owerri Municipal all progressive congress Imo house of assembly flag bearer honorable Mac-Donald Ebere have charged all the house of assembly contestants to device a means by letting our grass root supporters to  understand our political ambition for them, which is for the future that will bring good developmental programs in Nigeria and to Imo state through enacting bills on health, good road networks, education,security, agriculture, sports and address unemployment rate. 

This is the time for Owerri municipal local government area can get it right by voting for the right candidate with good visionary leadership orientation.

Nkotonko an Igbo Nollywood drama music comedy actors Emeka Ngannori  (Omalicha) and Shadon Onukaogu as well known as Akuebe were spotted at Bongo square in Owerri with other actors and actresses participating in a movie audition. Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
