Rochas rename demolished eke-ukwu owerri market to new Imo specialist hospital



The Imo state governor his excellency Owelle Rochas have rename the demolished eke-ukwu owerri market from Somotochukwu shopping complex to new Imo specialist hospital at douglas road in Owerri.

Late Somotochukwu Ibeanusi died because of the stray bullet which hurt him and which many sustained injuries during the fracas between Owerri n'ichi-ise autonomous community and the Imo state government which the governor denied been involved and the ohaji militants were accused of been sponsored by the Imo state government and to mark the death of Somotochukwu Ibe anusi the demolished eke-ukwu owerri market site was redesigned to a shopping complex centre which was renamed after him.

But there have been series of court orders straining the state government from taking forceful possession of the land and the greatest surprise is the spring of new Imo state specialist hospital bill board at douglas road

Although there have been series of court order straining  the state government from taking possession of the land, which they have contravened will they new specialist hospital stand or somotochukwu shopping complex nor eke-ukwu owerri market stand 2019  general election will determine if another governor assumes the seat.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
