Rochas donates 5million naira to Evan Enwerem's family







The memorial exit of former Governor of Imo state his excellency late Evan Enwerem also known as mature, was marked by his family, friends and relations of Evan under the auspices of his excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha at the trade and investment centre.   

According to dr.ID. Nwoga the Imo state chief of staff and head of service under Evan Enwerem said this has brought back his memory lane of 26 years ago described Evan Enwerem as a great administrator from atta Ikeduru local government area of Imo state who studied law and was called to bar but as well attained the political post of a senate president in 1999 under the peoples democratic party. 

Evan ruled Imo state for one year and six months from 1992 to 1993 but his historical life chronicles was launched which the Imo state Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha donated 5million naira to support Enwerem's leadership foundation and was eulogized for his services to Nigeria as well appointed the son of Evan Enwerem as a special assistant on special duties to the Imo state Governor


  
As her wife and former first lady of Imo Chief (Mrs) Vivan Enwerem thanked all for their support especially during the trying time.

Present are Dr.ID Nwoga, Chief. Emmanuel Iwuannyanu, Prof.Placid Njoku , Jim Nwobodo,Chief Odoroemenna, Chief FCC jones.

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
