Rochas adopts traditional rulers into Imo state hall of fame and shunned APC flag off






The Imo state Governor his excellency Owelle Rochas Okorocha have officially announced the adoption of traditional rulers in the three major zones that make up Imo state for their services in there communities and issued them certificates as well medals for a job well done. Owelle in his good gesture promise to give empowerment to women and youths to mark the joy of christmas on that same day which was not done again as so many women and youths present from there various local government areas of Imo state with their coordinators were disappointed no water nor transport money was given to them and so many borrowed to repay after the empowerment .

But the governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha used them to  flag off the 2018 Imo state carnival at the hero's square which started with bongo music competition and traditional wrestling. But shunned the flag off program of all progressive congress campaign in Imo state at Okigwe road which was done by the national chairman of apc comrade Adams Oshimole and other national working committee at Hope Uzodinma campaign office. Owelle Rochas Okorocha who lobbied to install Adams Oshimole as the national chairman of apc was left disappointed by he dissolved the Imo state executives of apc led by Daniel Nwafor and install Marcon Nelemigbo who is the Imo state chairman.  

Owelle is the senatorial candidate Orlu zone under all progressive congress in the 2019 general election had insist that Uche Nwosu his son inlaw under Action Alliance(AA) is his Governorship candidate to support and not Hope Uzodinma of APC but the presidential candidate is Muhmmadu Buhari will he be suspended which i do not know only time will say?

Owu cultural festival marked at umu-Duru Ifakala in Mbaitoli L.G.A of Imo state

Owu cultural festival is been celebrated by few communities in Mbaitoli local government area of Imo state every June to August yearly only men that are of age are allowed to do the rituals of i wa ukwu na ekwe before you are allowed to participate in the dance activity and has it's own unique dance step with two legs jumping style.  It is not marked on Nkwo market day according to the report gathered no significance or special dish been prepared for the celebration in every house hold as it is in other places in Igboland where festivals are marked.
